Trump administration takes formal steps to repeal Obama’s policy to curb GHG emissions from power plants

Scott Pruitt will today sign a proposal to roll back Obama’s climate policy. The New York Times reports that he says it means “the war on coal is over.”

The Clean Power Plan required power plants to cut carbon emissions 32 percent by 2030.

But with lots of opposition, the repeal could involve years of legal wrangling.
