Confirms solar tile production began at the Buffalo Gigafactory in December 2017

Following what has been a series of delays since Tesla announced its revolutionary solar roof product, the company has started production at its Buffalo facility in December 2017.

Tesla has already completed the first solar roof installations on the homes of executives and employees in August.

The company also said that it is now starting Solar Roof Textured and Smooth installations for non-employee homeowners.
